The Oregon Chapter of Surfrider was trying to get a bill passed to ban plastic bags in grocery stores. Instead of shocking people (as is so often the case with PSAs) I appealed to their intellect. It worked. People internalized the effects of their favorite meal ingesting plastic and voted the bill in.
Always nice to get a "little" love on Pinterest. The ad was the most posted PSA piece in the organization's history.
Carolina Raptor Center
These OBIE award-winning billboards were produced for a center that takes care of eagles, falcons, hawks, vultures and other injured birds of prey. But their ability to strike fear in visitors remained intact.
Phoenix Art Museum Surrealism Campaign
The museum was looking for a way to attract younger college students for their surrealism exhibit. What better way than to surprise them than in unlikely places. Signs placed on everyday objects in high-traffic areas made viewers see their world as a Surrealist would. The campaign resulted in a 30% increase in visitors for the exhibition.
